****Water Rescue ****
At 21.42hrs this evening the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated to the reports of a person attempting to enter the water from the D Hotel area of the river Boyne.
We immediately dispatched our inshore rescue boat , 2 mobile units and scene crew to the location of the incident.
As crews had just finished washing down equipment after training while still in our boathouse,the inshore rescue boat was launched and on scene within 3 minutes of the call coming in followed by our mobile units.
As scene crew arrived they witness a female in a distressed state at the river edge which then proceeded to enter the water.
The inshore rescue boat crew quickly extracted the casualty from the water and transferred her to our boathouse.
The team swiftly took the casualty from the boat into our medical room ,where Medical treatment was provided until the arrival of the National Ambulance Service.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
On scene also Drogheda Gardai, National Ambulance Service and Drogheda Coast Guard.
