* Object Floating *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 14.35pm yesterday afternoon.
Crews paged to reports of an object floating between the D Hotel and Drogheda Port area.
Our inshore rescue boat was launched and made its way swiftly up river to the location of the call.
Following a quick surface search of the area the crew located an object just sitting above the water line.
With further inspection it turned out to be a piece of a log breaking the water.
Crews returned to base, restaged and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
