** Person Rescued from the Water **
At 12.55hrs this afternoon the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated to the reports of a female after entering the water from the Doners Green area of the river Boyne.
We dispatched our inshore rescue boat and scene crew to the location of the incident.
Within minutes the inshore rescue boat arrived on scene and observed a male had entered the water with a life ring to secure the casualty.
Both persons extracted safely from the water by the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue.
The male was then left in the care of Drogheda Gardai while crews provided medical treatment to the female in our fully equipped medical room at our boathouse.
The casualty was then handed over to the National Ambulance Service where she was transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
