* Person Reported in the water *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 22.15pm last night.
Crews paged to reports of a person in the water at the waterfront at McDonalds take away.
The inshore rescue boat was immediately launched and proceeded swiftly up river on the High calm tide.
We dispatched our Mobile 1 unit to scene containing crews trained in swift water rescue. On route to the incident the location had been update to the bru area.
On arrival members of the public had thrown a lifering in to secure the casualty with Drogheda Gardai.
Louth Fire and Rescue had also been mobilised to incident and with the combined efforts managed to keep the casualty afloat until the arrival of the inshore rescue boat.
The casualty was taken from the water by the Boyne Fishermen's boatcrew.
On arrival back to the Boyne Fishermen's Slipway the boatcrew handed the casualty over to BFRRS medical crews while awaiting the arrival of the National Ambulance Service.
Crew managed to maintain a stable situation, provide a check over and gather details until the National Ambulance Service arrived.
Tonight call showed a great multi agency rescue and teamwork. Fast actions and thinking from members of the public for throwing a lifering ,Drogheda Gardai and to Louth Fire and Rescue for keeping the casualty afloat until the arrival of the inshore rescue boat.

In attendance at tonight's call was Drogheda Gardai, Louth Fire & Rescue (Drogheda Station ) ,the National Ambulance Service and Drogheda Coast Guard Unit.
Crews returned to base, restaged and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
