At 14.02hrs yesterday afternoon the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service where contacted to assist with a animal rescue up river at The Boyne Cable Bridge.
The call came in to reports of a dog after been cut off by the tide and the owner was unable to retrieve the dog .
We dispatched our inshore rescue boat to the location of the incident and crews met with the owner.
The crews retrieved the dog from the cut off area and brought him back to the owner.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
