Call out 11/03/20 12/20
Today at 12.25pm the emergency paging system was activated for the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service.
The teams help was requested on the section of walkway at the ramparts which had became unpassable due to the high tide and a walker was currently stranded.
We immediately dispatched our 4x4 unit and crew to the location of the incident,on arrival crew members who are trained in flood rescue suited up and proceeded to wade safely to the person's stranded.
After a situation assessment , movement of the person and a discussion between both parties it was agreed that the person was happy enough to await the tide to drop before proceeding with their walk.
Crews returned back to base where they washed, refueled and restaged the equipment awaiting another call.
