Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service where requested at 21.21pm last night to assist with an incident at Mornington.
Call requested assistance at Mornington beach where a number of liferings had been thrown into the river Boyne but where floating in the centre of the shipping lane.
Due to the nature of the location the only way to retrieve these liferings was by our inshore rescue boat.
We dispatched our inshore rescue boat to the location followed by our Mobile 1 unit.
Crews managed to retrieve 3 liferings from the water then handing them over the land crew who restaged them in the housing.
Crew stood down returning to base to wash restage and await the next call out.
