* Animal Rescue *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue contacted at 09:54am this morning.
Call recieved requesting assistance in relation to an animal rescue of a badly injured swan at old bridge.
In liaison with the Drogheda Animal Rescue ,we dispatched a mobile unit and crew to the location.
On arrival crews located the swan and managed to contain the swan for transport to All Pets Veterinary Hospital.
While on route a second call had came is for a similar animal which had similar injuries.
Crews managed to bring both birds to the vets , leaving them in the care of all pets for medical treatment.
Crews returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
