*Multiple Missing Persons *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 03:24am this morning.
Call recieved requesting assistance in the search of the river Boyne in Drogheda.
It was feared that two missing persons together had possibly made their way to enter the water
.
The emergency pager crews mustered with a brief of the situation.
Following the brief an immediate launch of our inshore rescue boat was conducted to commence a search on the water.
We directed multiple land and Mobile units to check various locations around the rivers edge.
The search commenced from the ramparts area down to flo gas marine terminal.
As the second inshore rescue boat was launched to assist in the search a stand down was recieved.
Confirmation that both missing persons had been located safe and well.
Crews returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
