** Person Reported in the water **
Shortly before 02.55am this morning the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated.
The call reported assistance with the reports of a person in the water at the bridge of peace in Drogheda.
Swiftly arriving on scene within a matter of minutes, members of our scene crew were met by personnel on the walkway underneath the bridge.
Following a brief conversation, it was understood to be a call with good intent.
Crews then returned back to the boathouse where they washed , restaged and sanitized equipment ready for the next call out.
