At 00.58hrs this morning the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated requesting the teams assistance with concerns about a person acting suspicious at the rivers edge at Scotch Hall.
We dispatched our inshore rescue boat and mobile units to the location of the incident.
Due to current weather ,High Tides and Stormy conditions our Mobile 1 unit was within the community nearby and responded to the scene within 2 mins.
On arrival crews observed a male pacing up and down the sunshine bar opposite Scotch Hall in the rain on the rivers edge.
On scene crew approached and began talking to the person ,while joined by Drogheda Gardai. The Inshore rescue boat arrived on scene and held off within the Scotch Hall area.
Following conversations the male left the area with Gardai.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
