* Multiple Persons Attempting to Enter the water*
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 21.27pm last night.
Crews paged to reports of two people attempting to enter the water from a unknown bridge in the Drogheda area.
Crews mustered with the immediate launch of our inshore rescue boat and scene crew to conduct a search.
Swiftly a second inshore rescue boat was launched to assist in the search ,followed by mobile units to cover multiple areas.
A short time later while conducting the search , crews located two people matching the description.
Members of the National Ambulance Service and the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue in a joint effort managed to approach the casualties , safely remove from them from the bridge while our inshore rescue boat and 2 rescue swimmers had been on standby underneath the bridge in the event of an entry.
A fast efficient response and multi agency teamwork ensured the prompt response to this incident ensuring the best possible out come.
Crews returned to base, restaged and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
