First Aid
The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service is able to provide emergency medical first aid in the event that it is needed during a call.
On call member’s qualifications range from cardiac first responders (CFR) to Paramedic, all of which are registered with the pre-hospital emergency care council (PHECC).
The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service members will stabilize a person until handed over to the national ambulance service (NAS), where the patient will be further treated and transported by the ambulance personnel to definitive care.
The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service also provide a community first response scheme under the national ambulance service within the town of Drogheda, where when called upon the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service can assist the national ambulance service in calls such as cardiac/respiratory arrest, cardiac chest pain, chocking and strokes.
